In a recent webinar held on February 20, 2025, the SEC announced changes to the EDGAR Next enrollment requirements that could have a significant impact on the process. Additionally, updates were made to the bulk enrollment CSV template. Below, is an overview of these important updates and guidance on how to properly navigate these changes.
Changes to the enrollment requirements
If a filer has not reset its CCC and/or passphrase since September 2019, the filer should reset these codes before enrolling. We suggest that filers generate a new passphrase for each affected CIK. This can be completed at any time and will not affect any active filings.
Steps to follow:
- Follow the Reset Passphrase process
Resetting the passphrase should be sufficient for enrollment purposes. However, if an error message is received during the enrollment process, you may also need to reset the CCC. Detailed instructions can be found on our Resetting EDGAR Codes in the Filer Management Dashboard page.
Bulk enrollment
The SEC has introduced a new column F (Allow Delegation Requests), in the bulk enrollment CSV template. This option allows other EDGAR accounts to request authorization to file on behalf of the listed CIK. Additionally, the SEC has removed previous columns S, T, AG, and AH (Account Administrators’ Employer and Employer CIK).
Action required:
Filers who created their bulk enrollment CSV prior to March 12, 2025, must reinput the information into the updated CSV file. The information can be copied from the previous file into the updated file, with adjustments made to accommodate the new and removed columns.
